Mattress Construction

The layers of the Hope DreamZone Hybrid mattress

The DreamZone Hybrid is 12'' thick. It's made of five layers of different types of foam for maximum coziness and pressure relief side by side with a coil system, which delivers firm support and adds durability to the mattress increasing its lifespan.

Cover: Deep Freeze Plus Cooling fabric using phase-change technology, which absorbs and disperses thermal energy generating a cooling effect.

Later 1: 1" of Atlas PR Gel Memory Foam, which hugs the body giving a soft cozy feel and reducing pressure in sensitive areas. The gel increases the foam's breathability and, therefore, reduces heat retention.

Layer 2: 1'' of proprietary Cloud Gel Memory Foam for extra contouring and improved motion isolation. The gel assists in the cooling process.

Layer 3: 1" of medium density foam supporting the soft layers of the memory foam above and curbing excessive sinking.

Layer 4: 8'' pocketed steel coils hardened by sonic welding technology. The coils are individually wrapped, so they generate lift and provide support while reducing motion transfer.

Layer 5: 1'' of high-density Everlast Foam supporting the coils as they compress and functioning as a foundation for the mattress.

Base: Resilient non-skid fabric which prevents sliding keeping the mattress in place.

Feel

Apart from keeping the surface of the mattress cool and dry, the DreamZone Hybrid' Deep Freeze Plus Cooling fabric is soft and smooth giving a plush comfort sensation which will help you fall asleep at night.

The DreamZone is characterized by a medium firmness level. The two upper layers of soft memory foam will perfectly conforms to the unique shape of your body providing you with pleasant coziness. At the same time, the denser foam in the 3rd layer and the sturdy coils beneath will generate lift and support curbing excessive sinking and preventing a "quicksand" feeling.

Pressure Relief

The DreamZone Hybrid works well for side sleepers of all weights, even the heavier ones. The mattress medium firmness level provides a sound balance of pressure relieving comfort and support. The top two layers of soft memory foam will cradle sleepers' body alleviating pressure in sensitive areas, the shoulders and hips in particular. The coils will provide ample support necessary for maintaining healthy posture.

Back sleepers weighing up to 250 pounds will also enjoy the combination of contouring and support the DreamZone Hybrid excels at. The memory foam will mitigate pressure in their lumbar and thoracic spine while the harder foam below and the coils will reduce sinking averting discomfort and pain.

Back Sleepers who weigh more than 250 pounds will need a firmer mattress designed for heavy people. The DreamZone Hybrid won't do a good job carrying their weight.

Light and average weight stomach sleepers will feel comfortable lying on the DreamZone Hybrid. The cushy foam will wrap their abdomen mitigating pressure in their lumbar area. The mattress' medium firmness level will provide adequate support for keeping their spine properly aligned.

In contrast, XL stomach sleepers will require a more supportive mattress to curb sinking and avoid back pain and even a curvature disorder in the long run.

Motion Isolation

The mattress' two upper layers of ultra-conforming memory foam significantly minimize motion transfer. The individually wrapped coils also produce low level of motion transmission compared to regular springs. Practically speaking, the DreamZone Hybrid will enable you quiet and peaceful nights even if your partner is a restless sleeper.

Repositioning

The DreamZone's coils provide sufficient bounce and responsiveness to allow easy movement on the mattress' surface despite the thick soft memory foam. Having said that, plus-size sleepers may encounter difficulties changing sleep positions and getting out of bed as a result of too much sinking, which may cause them to be trapped in bed. As mentioned above, they should opt for a firmer and more supportive mattress.

Edge Support

The coil system provides edge to edge support which keeps the mattress's perimeter firm and prevents it from collapsing due to weight pressure. As a result, sleepers will feel safe sleeping close to the edge with no need to move to the center.

As in the case of repositioning, XL sleepers way experience instability lying on the edge of the mattress as a result of excessive sagging.

Heat Retention

The DreamZone scores high when it comes to temperature regulation thanks to its smart materials and innovative design.

The Deep Freeze Plus Cooling fabric is made of a phase-change material which absorbs and releases sleepers' body heat preventing its accumulation in the mattress. The gel in the two layers of memory foam increases breathability and assists in moisture wicking. Finally, the coils enable free circulation of air, which keeps the mattress cool.

Therefore, if you're a hot sleeper or if you reside in a hot and humid area, the DreamZone Hybrid is, definitely, a wise choice.

Frame and Foundation

The DeamZone Hybrid fits almost all foundations, frames and adjustable bases available on the market on condition that they're solid enough to carry its weight. Hope puts at your disposal its own sleep platforms.

The Hope Upholstered Foundation is built from Pine and Spruce solid wood. It's easy to assemble, and It can carry up to 750 pounds. It comes with plastic legs, which you can remove and turn the foundation into a box spring. Starting price is $339 for a Twin mattress. Maximum price is $499 for a California King Mattress.

If you're are looking for a much cheaper option, you should check out the the Universal Bed Frame. It's an easy to assemble steel construct, with nine legs, double-rail center support, 2.5'' reinforced glides (feet) and headboard brackets compatible with most headboards. It can support a maximum weight of 700 pounds. The Universal Bed Frame is designed for all mattress sizes. It'll cost you only $108.

The M555 Adjustable Bed Base has 5 preset and 5 memory positions and Dual Zone massage with multiple types, intensity and time setting. It includes underbed LED lighting, a backlit remote control and dual charging ports on both sides of the bed.

Equally important, the company follows strict guidelines for reduced emissions of volatile organic compounds to ensure clean indoor air.

The warranty will also not cover damages caused by use other than home use and by repairs done by a technician not authorized by Hope.

The Bottom Line

When it comes to sleepers who weigh up to 250 pounds, the DreamZone Hybrid offers the best of all worlds in terms of enhanced pressure relieving comfort providing restorative sleep, sound coil support, reduced motion transfer, efficient temperature regulation and, no less important, a lifetime warranty.

Heavier sleepers whose weight exceeds 250 pounds may find the mattress's medium firmness to be inadequately supportive. They'll need to look for more sturdy mattresses designed for plus-size people.
